They believe that metaphor is rooted in thinking and one of its manifestations is language. Therefore, conceptual metaphor is a term in linguistics that refers to understanding an idea or a conceptual field based on another idea or conceptual field. . Based on this theory of contemporary metaphor, the functions of the metaphor of noor and image clusters related to it, i.e. vision and hearing, knowledge, noor, God, etc., were expressed and discussed in Masnavi. The purpose of this research was to find out how the conceptual metaphor of noor in the Masnavi can have a purposeful semantic correspondence with the contemporary theory of linguistics. METHODOLOGY: Therefore, in this research, the conceptual metaphor of noor based on the theory of Likoff and Johnson in the first book of the Masnavi has been investigated with a descriptive analytical method. FINDINGS: Rumi has used the conceptual metaphor of noor in Masnavi as a linguistic tool to expand the meanings and epistemic concepts. For this reason, the writers have analyzed the first book of the Masnavi to get the conceptual metaphor of noor along with the semantic mediators and they have found that knowledge in the first book of the Masnavi is an epistemological category and Rumi is in agreement with this conceptual idea that the universe is light. He considered pure noor as vision, hearing, noor, existence, etc., as well as a means to explain the category of annihilation and survival. CONCLUSION: In this regard, significant results have been achieved. Several meanings have been obtained, including noor as a perfect human being, as the sun, moon, food, etc. And the general result is that the assumptions of conceptual metaphor are suitable for analyzing and explaining the abstract categories considered by Molavi Bastari.زمینه و هدف: تحقیقات لیکاف و جانسون در زمینۀ استعاره ثابت کرد که کاربردهای استعاره به حوزۀ مطالعات ادبی محدود نیست. آنها معتقدند که استعاره در تفکر ریشه دارد و یکی از مظاهر آن، زبان است. بهمین جهت استعارۀ مفهومی اصطلاحی است در زبان شناسی که به فهمیدن یک ایده یا یک حوزۀ مفهومی براساس ایده یا حوزۀ مفهومی دیگر اشاره میکند. براساس این نظریۀ استعاره معاصر، کارکردهای استعارۀ نور و خوشه ای تصویری مرتبط با آن یعنی، بینایی و شنوایی، معرفت، چراغ، خدا و ... در مثنوی بیان و مطرح شد. هدف از این پژوهش آن بوده است که استعارۀ مفهومی نور در مثنوی چگونه میتواند با نظریۀ معاصر زبان شناسی، مطابقت معنایی هدفمند داشته باشد. روشها: از اینرو در این پژوهش با روشی توصیفی تحلیلی استعارۀ مفهومی نور براساس نظریۀ لیکاف و جانسون در دفتر اول مثنوی بررسی گردیده است. یافته ها: مولانا در مثنوی از استعارۀ مفهومی نور بعنوان ابزار زبانی جهت گسترش معانی و مفاهیم معرفتی بهره برده است. بهمین دلیل نگارندگان، دفتر اول مثنوی را برای دریافت استعارۀ مفهومی نور بهمراه واسطه های معنایی کاویده اند و دریافته اند که شناخت در دفتر اول مثنوی یک مقولۀ معرفتی است و مولانا با این انگارۀ مفهومی که جهان ملکوت، نور مظلق است، نور محض را بمثابۀ بینایی و شنوایی و چراغ، وجود و... و نیز وسیله ای برای تبیین مقولۀ فنا و بقا بر شمرده است. نتیجه گیری: در این راستا نتایجی چشمگیر حاصل شده است و معانی متعددی از جمله نور به مثابۀ انسانی کامل، بمثابۀ خورشید، ماه، خوراک و ... بدست آمده است. و نتیجۀ کلی اینکه فرضیات استعارۀ مفهومی برای تحلیل و تبیین مقولات انتزاعی مورد نظر مولوی بستری شایسته است.استعارۀ مفهومی, جانسون, لیکاف, مثنوی, نور.conceptual metaphor, Johnson, Likaf, Mashnavi, Noor.https://bahareadab.com/downloadPDF/1632.pdfhttps://bahareadab.com/downloadPDF/1632.pdfhttps://bahareadab.com/article/بررسی و تحلیل استعارۀ مفهومی نور در دفتر اول مثنوی براساس نظریۀ جورج لیکاف و مارک جانسونhttps://bahareadab.com/en/article/The analysis and interpretation of conceptual metaphor of noor in the first book of Masnavi -ye – Ma'navi based on George Lakoff and Mark Johnson theory.
