According to Lucien Goldman"s theory, individuals" consciousness is always the product of class conditions and social structure and the society around them. This research aims to examine and analyze the "crisis of cognition" in the rural and crisis-ridden society in the novel The Vacancy of Soluch, and aims to analyze the behavior and thoughts of the characters in the novel and show how the class structure in society prevents the correct understanding of reality or its change. METHODOLOGY: The research method in this article is descriptive-analytical based on library studies relying on Lucien Goldman"s sociological theory. FINDINGS: The research findings show that in the novel The Vacancy of Soluch, the main characters of the story have limited awareness and are affected by traditions and livelihood pressures due to belonging to a socially disadvantaged class. These limitations cause a crisis in the identity of individuals and even in family and collective relationships. The result of the research is that, according to Goldman, the awareness of the lower class is in complete connection with cultural, social and economic limitations and can turn into poverty and powerlessness, the reflection of which is clearly visible in the novel The Vacancy of Soluch. CONCLUSION: The results of the research show that the novel The Vacancy of Soluch is not merely a reflection of individual suffering, but also represents collective class awareness in rural Iranian society. By depicting the lives of Morgan and his children, Dolatabadi shows that social awareness is formed gradually and in the heart of the lived experience of poverty and domination. From Goldman"s perspective, this novel is an outstanding example of committed literature that has been able to well represent the situation of the lower class of society and become the language of collective consciousness.زمینه و هدف: رمان جای خالی سلوچ اثر محمود دولت‌آبادی، تصویری گویا از جامعه روستایی و طبقاتی ایران را در دهه چهل و هنگام اصلاحات ارضی نشان میدهد که در آن روابط انسانی و فهم افراد از هویّت فردی و اجتماعی و واقعیّت، تحت تأثیر ساختار اجتماعی و اقتصادی قرار میگیرد بر اساس نظریّه لوسین گلدمن آگاهی افراد همواره محصول شرایط طبقاتی و ساختار اجتماعی و جامعه پیرامون آنهاست. این پژوهش با هدف بررسی و تحلیل «بحران شناخت» در جامعه روستایی و بحران زده در رمان جای خالی سلوچ، قصد دارد به تحلیل رفتار و اندیشه شخصیتهای رمان بپردازد و نشان میدهد که چگونه ساختار طبقاتی موجود در جامعه مانع درک صحیح واقعیّت یا تغییر آن میشود. یافته های پژوهش: یافته های پژوهش نشان میدهد که در رمان جای خالی سلوچ، شخصیتهای اصلی داستان بدلیل تعلق به طبقه محروم اجتماعی، دارای آگاهیهای محدود و متأثر از سنتها و فشارهای معیشتی هستند. این محدودیتها سبب ایجاد بحران در هویّت افراد و حتّی در روابط خانوادگی و جمعی نیز میشود. نتیجه پژوهش از نظر گلدمن آگاهی طبقه فرودست با محدودیتهای فرهنگی اجتماعی و اقتصادی در ارتباط کامل است و میتواند به فقر و عدم قدرت تبدیل شود که بازتاب آن در رمان جای خالی سلوچ کاملاً قابل مشاهده است. روش پژوهش: روش پژوهش در این مقاله توصیفی- تحلیلی بر اساس مطالعات کتابخانه ای با تکیه بر نظریّه جامعه شناسی لوسین گلدمن میباشد. نتایج پژوهش: نتایج پژوهش نشان میدهد که رمان جای خالی سلوچ نه صرفاً بازتاب رنجهای فردی، بلکه نمایانگر آگاهی طبقاتی جمعی در جامعه روستایی ایران است. دولت‌آبادی با ترسیم زندگی مرگان و فرزندانش، نشان میدهد که آگاهی اجتماعی بتدریج و در دل تجربه زیسته فقر و سلطه شکل میگیرد. از منظر گلدمن، این رمان نمونه ای برجسته از ادبیات متعهّد است که توانسته است وضعیّت طبقه فرودست جامعه را بخوبی بازنمایی کرده و به زبان آگاهی جمعی بدل شود.بحران شناخت. جامعه طبقاتی. لوسین گلدمن. جای خالی سلوچ. جامعهCognitive crisis.
